Preston Kite was sentenced to 65 years in prison after admitting he filmed himself sexually abusing children and animals. Previous reports indicated that Kite was abusing dogs and horses, and new information now includes a cow.
Kite was friends with former Sheboygan H.R. Director Adam Westbrook, who is awaiting sentencing in federal court for sex crimes against his adopted child.
Mayor Ryan Sorenson strongly supported Adam Westbrook during his tenure in Sheboygan. Current Common Council President Dean Dekker publicly criticized Sheboygan residents at the Common Council meeting where Westbrook resigned from the City of Sheboygan.

Dean Dekker continues to refuse to release a statement regarding his passionate support of Adam Westbrook who is convicted of brutal sex crimes against his own child.
Dekker stated that Sheboygan residents drove a “good employee” to resign and that “we are better than this.”
246 Days of Silence from Sorenson
Sheboygan residents submitted an open records request on June 28, 2024, requesting any communications between Ryan Sorenson and Preston Kite.
Sorenson has not responded.
It has now been 246 days of silence from the mayor’s office.
