ActBlue is a prominent online platform used by Democratic political candidates to raise money. ActBlue has failed to implement proper security protocols, which have led to concerns over ethical donations and potential fraud.
There are currently investigations into ActBlue for potential:
- Fraud
- Money laundering
- Foreign donations
All of which are unethical if not illegal.
Seven senior officials at ActBlue have recently resigned. The company and their charity are in disarray.
TBS has looked at out-of-state donations to Sorenson through ActBlue. Sorenson has received donations from out-of-state individuals with almost zero digital footprint. Individuals from California, New York, Massachusetts, and other states have donated to Sorenson.
Are these real people?
Amid all of this concern regarding ethics and senior leaders, Sorenson continues to use ActBlue. A link to ActBlue is on Sorenson’s campaign website.

In 2020, Sorenson received a donation through ActBlue from local Democratic Party activist Deb Klock, who was convicted of election fraud for stealing campaign literature of a Sheboygan Common Council candidate running against a Democrat-backed candidate.

Do you have concerns about Sorenson’s financial backing?
Sorenson has demonstrated a lack of compliance with open records laws. Sorenson has not responded to an open records request from a resident for 267 days regarding communications with Preston Kite, who was sentenced to 65 years in prison for sex crimes against children and animals.
If Sorenson refuses to comply with open records laws, do you have concerns with Sorenson complying with campaign finance laws?
